On our last day in Glacier National Park this year, we took on the 10-mile round-trip Iceberg Lake Trail. It's a beautiful hike with an intriguing reward at the end - a lake filled with icebergs in July. And it probably isn't the prettiest part of the hike. Some of the views were just breathtaking.
The Going-To-The-Sun Road in Glacier National Park is one of the most famous drives in all of the U.S. National Parks. Though we encountered quite a bit of construction today, we still had wonderful scenery and great views, so it's easy to see how this drive earned all its accolades.
Hiking From the Granite Park Chalet Down the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail to the Many Glacier Area - Glacier National Park - Montana
This was the second day of a fantastic two-day hike in Glacier National Park. In addition to gorgeous scenery, toward the end of the hike we saw five moose including a cow with twins. No doubt this combination hike is on our list of top ten hikes.
By getting a last-minute reservation at the back-country Granite Park Chalet in Glacier National Park, we were able to make this wonderful hike the first part of a two-day spectacular combination hike using the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail on the second day. The scenery and some wildlife encounters made this one of our favorite hikes.
Today we met some friends to do a couple of short, popular hikes in Glacier National Park. We had fantastic mountain views, wildlife, and waterfalls. So far, after two days in Glacier, it's rapidly moving up our favorite National Parks list.
Swiftcurrent Lake Nature Trail & Apikuni Falls Trail - Many Glacier Area - Glacier National Park - Montana
This was the first day of our first visit to Glacier National Park. We started in the beautiful Many Glacier area and did a couple of short hikes to start getting us acclimated to the elevation. The scenery was magnificent.
