Today was one of those special times out in nature where we reflect, ponder, and appreciate. The remote Juniper Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park was the perfect setting.
The Bumpass Hell Trail in Lassen Volcanic National Park is probably the most popular trail in the park with its thermal features and nice boardwalk. It was our second hike of the day - you can check out our Kings Creek Falls Hike on a separate post. If you have a limited time in Lassen, these two hikes will make for a great day.
This is a great hike that we highly recommend when visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park in northern California. Even if you don't get all the way to Kings Creek Falls, it is a worthwhile trek along a beautiful stream with cascades and smaller waterfalls.
Boiling Springs Lake & Devil's Kitchen Trails - Warner Valley Area - Lassen Volcanic National Park - California
Lassen Volcanic National Park isn't a highly visited park to begin with, and today we hiked in an even less-visited section. It was another beautiful day to explore some remote thermal features of the park and see a little wildlife with no one else around.
We were working at a campground in northern California this summer, and one of the lesser known National Parks, Lassen Volcanic National Park, was less than an hour drive away. Though it was still early in the year and the park road hadn't fully opened yet due to snow, we got a great overview of the park and got some great photos with the snow as a beautiful accent.
